Lives and works
in Lima, Peru

My creative process does not stem from rational thought, but from impulses seeking satisfaction through the construction of an image or artistic object.

For me, reflection on the work comes only after it is completed. It is only with physical and mental distance that I can return to an image and begin to understand it.

Error is a fundamental part of my artistic practice. Making mistakes pushes us out of our comfort zone, heightening our creative capacity.

There is always a playful component in my creative process. I play with construction and composition, trying not to judge the work along the way or subject its creation to external factors. As artists, we owe society a body of work that could not have been made by anyone else.
